Admit that it’s you who sowed the seed of covid denial during elections campaign when you used to say nonsense like what Mr Musowa said in Nsanje recently. Or am I a blabbermouth?”

The meme accuses politicians for propagating the denial of existence of Covid-19 that is currently very common in rural areas. At the height of campaign for the 2020 fresh presidential elections, politicians took to podiums telling the masses not to be afraid of Covid-19 because at that time, so they claimed, there was no Covid-19 in Malawi. This political irresponsibility has come to bite Malawi which has struggled heavily under the second wave of the pandemic leading to many deaths including top government officials and ministers.
